It depends on where you look, with recommendations ranging from 1.2 to 2.5 times the screen size – so 2.3m minimum away from a 75” TV. As a rule, the bigger the screen, the further away from it your seating should be.
What setting should I set my TV to for watching sports?
Each make is different, with different names for their various presets. You’ll want to look for a preset called Sports or Dynamic for best results. Check the manual for your TV to find the ideal setting.
What is the best refresh rate for watching sports on TV?
If sports are something you’ll be watching a lot of on your new TV, then you’ll want a model offering at least 120Hz for clear, blur-free motion.

QLED TVs perform better in brightly lit environments, so make the perfect option if your room has large windows with a lot of sunlight. OLED TVs tend to have richer dark shades and faster performance.
