Things you need to keep in mind before getting a projector 

Projectors are great for displaying videos and images on large surfaces like a wall or a projector screen. If you’re projecting over a large surface, go for projectors with higher resolutions. For work, 1080p will be good enough but if you’re using your projector for movies or gaming, go for a projector that supports 4K resolution for a crisp image. Make sure to check for connectivity as well. Most come with an HDMI port and USB-C connectivity while some also offer wireless connectivity and screen mirroring support.  

Look out for contrast as well. The greater the contrast, the more vibrant the colours are going to be. Lumens determine the brightness of your projector. For dark rooms with less sunlight, up to 3000 lumens would do the job. But for brighter rooms with large windows or outdoor use, go for projectors with more lumens for less distortion. Most modern projectors come with built-in Android TV so you can stream your favourite apps and have keystone correction capabilities which lets you adjust the lighting to your surroundings. And for sound, some come with built-in speakers but if you want a true home projector experience, make sure to connect yours with additional speakers for rich audio
