FAQs

Are expensive makeup brushes always better?

No, whether you opt for a more premium set of brushes or a budget friendly version, you should be able to achieve a very similar level of performance. While some higher price brushes might have slightly softer bristles or last slightly longer, these differences are so small that you might not even notice.

However, if you are a lover of premium cosmetics or an absolute brand loyalist, a premium brush set makes for a wonderful treat for yourself or a fellow beauty lover.

How do I find makeup brands that are cruelty free?

You can find out if a makeup brand is cruelty free in a number of different ways. Firstly, check for verification logos on the packaging, like the Leaping Bunny for example. You can also use handy online databases to cross check different brands before making your decision. Just be mindful of parent companies, as sometimes even when the brand you're buying from is cruelty free, the company that owns them might not be.

Do I need a makeup mirror?

You don’t need a makeup mirror, but having one sure is handy. With compact designs, you can sit up close and get a good look at what you’re doing. Plus, the extra lighting some options give is great for when you’re trying to get ready in a slightly more dim environment.
