Dodgy switch
Feels light weight and plasticky (cheap)….put batteries in and lights worked briefly, then it wouldn’t switch on again. Plugged in with USB and it works intermittently when it feels like it it sometimes switches itself on in the middle of the night!

No. The USb cable can be used to charge the batteries only when a rechargeable batteries are used. It doesnt work when there no batteries in.
