Features

The iPad has various basic features. They all have multi-touch display and operate on Apple's intuitive operating system, currently at iOS 12. All models have Wi-Fi access, though some also have cellular connectivity.

The first-generation iPad didn't have a camera, but all models since have had front and rear cameras. In conjunction with dual microphones, one to tune out background noise, this allows the use of FaceTime and similar programmes. Apple's Retina display, their trademarked name for the high-density displays that they now use on nearly all their products, makes the displays look crisp and non-pixelated, whilst proximity and ambient light sensors make the display automatically adjust its brightness. Later versions have Touch ID, allowing you to unlock the device with your fingerprint and Face ID, allowing you to do so with your face.
