Cosy blankets and throws to add warmth to your home

You can layer blankets and throws across beds, sofas, armchairs and other seating to add warmth, colour and texture, creating a homely feel in many spaces.

Use at home or when you’re away:

Woven throws add subtle texture and warmth, and are good for layering

Choosing a size:

Small is suitable for chairs and other seating. Medium is suitable for sofas. Large is for beds or sleeping areas and for layering over bedspreads.

Heated options: adjustable heat settings and overheat protection

For quick warmth, you can choose heated throws with timers, adjustable heat settings and overheat protection. Use them to pre‑warm a bed or sleeping area, or to stay warm on a sofa or other seating during use. Heated throws are designed for seated use. Full electric blankets are designed for complete bed coverage.

Many models have removable controllers. This can make set‑up and cleaning easier. Always follow the product’s safety instructions.

Everyday use

For year‑round use, breathable cotton or knitted throws allow airflow during warmer periods. Fleece blankets with a higher grams per square metre (g/m²) rating (often shown as gsm) offer extra warmth: around 200 to 300 g/m² suits cooler periods, 400 g/m² suits colder periods.
