It really is Super Soft
I bought this for myself and liked the colour and the super softness so much that I bought another one - it’s such a reasonable price too. Both sides of it are soft, not just one side. It’s the right size for me to wear round my shoulders or draped over my knees sitting in my armchair to keep warm. It looks good draped over my sofa too and the colour blends in with my furnishings. Perfect.

These are ok in terms of quality but are nothing like the colour in the picture or any shade of "taupe" I have ever seen. They are a very, very light silvery grey colour. I returned them immediately.
