It does exactly what it is supposed to.
I've had my new pressure cooker for about a month now. It was purchased as a replacement for my previous prestige pressure cooker as that had come to the end of it's life after 40 years. The new one is great. and I'm delighted with the purchase. Hopefully this one will last as long as its predecessor.

Important Parts are unavailable from Prestige
As this is a pressure cooker, it is important that certain spares are readily available. Having purchased this product, I reviewed the Prestige website and I could not find any reference to this particular model number. I phoned their customer services to be told the model had been discontinued and Prestige did not hold any spare gaskets. It is recommended by the manufacturer that gaskets are replace every year. As a result of my enquiry I returned the product for a full refund.

Is there a replacement available since I guess the one I have is faulty. The indicator is not popping up when it reaches high pressure, unless we manually lift the weight valve.

It has a Visual pressure indicator which raises to indicate when cooker is at pressure, otherwise, the cooker would be whistling all the time under pressure which I suggest would not be very popular.
