Disappointing purchase
Bought this as a gift but found out that it takes a long time to heat up. Was very disappointed as I've never experienced that before with other Silentnight product's.

Good value for the money
covers the majority of the mattress area below the pillow line. Heats up pretty quickly and has three settings. I looked at other blankets with more settings but can't see the point and the simpler the mechanism the less chance of failure. The price was reasonable and home delivery made life simpler. Will have to see how long it lasts compared to my previous electric blanket.

Good for the price.
Smaller than expected, especially for a double bed, it seems to provide a good area of warmth. It does move around and especially on my husband's side of the bed (because he is such a fidget!) it gets rumpled up, so you have to smooth it out very regularly. We use it under two mattress covers, which we always have; hoping it won't need to be washed quite so often and should last longer, and this seems fine. My husband took a while to get used to the heat setting because the (single) control is less intuitive than on our other blanket. The 'two-light' setting seems to be the most comfortable but we haven't had any *really* cold nights since we started using the blanket.

I purchased this electric blanket as my other one packed in this was a very good choice for a replacement very well made blanket and soft it is easy to use and at a very affordable price. Would recommend to anyone looking for a electric blanket.

It's ok but not fantastic
Not as good as the one I had previously. Different make. It's smaller and the control is uncomfortable as it's near the top of the blanket. Had to turn it round and have controller at the foot of the bed

Does the job well for the price
Surprisingly warm, sometimes needs turning down on setting 3 unless you're very cold at the time, first time buying one and happy with the purchase

I can advise that this can be left on overnight, however it is recommended that you do not fall asleep with it still on. It does not warm feet only.

All Silentnight products are suitable for use with an electric blanket. For items from other brands, please check compatibility directly with the manufacturer.
Regarding memory foam, Silentnight mattresses are safe to use with an electric blanket; however, please be aware that memory foam softens when exposed to heat. Allow it to cool fully so it can return to its original shape.
