Very comfortable electric blanket. No lumps or bumps and really easy to fit. Effective but takes a wee while to heat up. Need to turn on 15 mins before going to bed. Great price at Argos.

It warms up eventually! It’s quicker to fill a hot water bottle. The connection is a hard lump, so noticeable in a single bed. Disappointed to be honest.

Good design but 4 hour limit
The product is well designed, simple settings(good for a dark room) and easy to use-I like it. Only drawback was the 4 hour automatic shut off for all heat settings. This was not clear from the website description which gave the impression that it could used all night. I only became aware of this when I opened the packaging and read the instructions. I was thinking of returning and then read the non-return of any electric blanket on the sticker. I am glad I kept it and didn`t argue for a return.

Comfortable and easy to use
I’ve had this for several weeks and love it. Comfortable to lie on without the feeling of wires. Heats up nicely but takes a little while to so make sure to turn in on in good time before jumping into bed. Great buy!

I bought a double size i read the reviews which stated it seemed small i did think about a kingsize for that reason but its advised not to do so for safety reasons. The double size is ok i suppose it depends exactly where you place it on your mattress either higher towards the pillow or lower for your feet. It does warm up quickly but not so much the first time i used it. The controls you need to make sure when you press on,that you select the temp quite quickly or it wont select. Its a good enough blanket it does the job the one thing i would complain about is where they have placed the connecter on the blanket. Its right on top so encroaches into the bed i have a high mattress and tend to kneel onto the bed to get in. I have found ive kneeled onto the connecter a couple of times so i have pulled it to the edge of the mattress which means the other side of the bed doesnt have the same coverage with the blanket. All in all nice warm electric blanket good price good make just the niggly connecter could do with improvement as to where its placed.

All Silentnight products are suitable for use with an electric blanket. For items from other brands, please check compatibility directly with the manufacturer.
Regarding memory foam, Silentnight mattresses are safe to use with an electric blanket; however, please be aware that memory foam softens when exposed to heat. Allow it to cool fully so it can return to its original shape.

The supplier has advised the following for the Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Underblanket - Double:
"This would be fine, as long as the electric blanket is covered following instructions in the manual provided. However, please note that mattress protectors are designed to go under sheeting, to keep them protected and extend the longevity.
We can only advise for Silentnight mattress protectors. All Silentnight products are safe to use with an electric blanket however other brands would need to be checked with the manufacturer directly. In regards to waterproof or plastic backed protectors, again the Silentnight is safe to use however, if there is a likelihood of an accident we do recommend the electric blanket is switch off and unplugged while in bed."
