Poor wireless live streaming and playback
I bought the Swann wireless system because I wanted an easy & wire free installation with the ability to wirelessly view live streaming on PC and Android phone. The first requirement is covered in that the cameras can be sited anywhere quickly and easily with the cameras streaming to the supplied hub and recording on the included SD card, however the recorded footage always lags behind the action so whatever has triggered the camera is usually disappearing out of shot once the camera has woken up. Live streaming via app to phone doesn't work 90% of the time and then only one channel will show but the playback of recorded footage usually works. With the PC app I've only managed to get live streaming once in multiple attempts and 90% of the time it won't recognise my log in or will give an error or offline message. The only way to get reliable live streaming is with the supplied HDMI cable connected to a television which requires the hub to be next to it and defeats the aim of being cable free. Swann say a good wifi signal is needed but the cameras stream and record to the SD card without trouble and I can have the PC and phone two feet from the hub and wifi router and the apps still don't work so I can only conclude the software or hub is poor. Either way I can't recommend this system particularly as its not excatly the cheapest available.

Hi Bob.
Battery life can vary depending on how active the cameras are. For an average usage of around 20 clips per camera per day, the batteries should last approximately 1–2 months between charges. If the cameras capture more activity or you frequently use live view, the battery life will be shorter.
To make things easier, you can add solar panels to keep the cameras topped up while you’re away. Swann also offers other powered cameras that don’t rely on batteries. These are a great option if you don’t mind running some wires.

Hello Bob.
Swann AllSecure 4K Wireless Security Camera System - 2 Pack:
It can last a few days up to a couple of months.
If the cameras get triggered all the time, then it will drain the battery much faster. Much more if false triggers are happening at night time, where the spotlight keeps turning on, while low‑activity environments allow the battery to last much longer.
You can add a Swann Solar Panel which keeps the battery topped up and can almost remove the need for any charging at all!
Thank you for using Q & A.
Thank you for your inquiry, Bob. This system comes with a 64GB SD card. How long the recording lasts depends on several factors, especially how much motion your cameras detect, more movement means more footage is recorded, which can reduce the number of days stored.
The system automatically overwrites the oldest recordings once the SD card is full, so you don’t need to worry about manually deleting files. To extend storage time, you can lower the recording resolution or expand storage up to a 512GB microSD card or up to a 5TB HDD.

Hello Gil,
The supplier has advised the following for the Swann AllSecure 4K Wireless Security Camera System - 2 Pack:
“ Please note that we don’t provide a specific number of days for battery life, as it varies depending on how often the live feed is accessed and how frequently motion is detected by the camera.
Also, the spare battery can be recharged using the included USB-C cable, similar to how you would charge a smartphone. ”
