upright design could be improved
the lamp does give enough light, however when assembling the sections the joins tended to unscrew on their own within minutes, I remedied it by wrapping strips of silver gaffer tape round each of the joins, also taping wire securely to the pole, which actually enhances the overall look

Quick fix
Bought this as the hallway lights had blown and needed a quick fix. Does the job, not very sturdy but then again it won’t get moved about very much, lights the hallway adequately while tucked into a corner

Floorlamp uplighter Argos
Not as good quality as one I first purchased couple of years ago. Difficult assembling as sewing together was very sticky had to jiggle around different rods to assemble ..frustrating to say the least and unfortunately sign of our times that quality of things/products now are very very poor. I kept it as once FINALLY assembled was not going through whole frustrating process de assembling had had enough by then. Once assembled It looks good and functions great but length of cord is much much shorter than previous one.!?!?

"This plastic lamp shade is not fixed with the plastic cup together so it can be changed as long as the replace shade bottom size matches the top size of the cap."

Any bulb you like that fits the ES socket.
There is a MAXIMUM of 60 watts - and of course with modern LED bulbs you could get a lot brighter than an old 60w filament bulb.
