Good living room lamp
I bought this item a couple of weeks ago. It was easy for my husband to assemble. It provides good light in my living room. It is plain but stylish. Stable base. Cable will take a while to straighten and not be so noticeable on the stand. The shade is plastic but looks more expensive.

Decreasing quality of product
The product is excellent value until assembled. Previously, a connecting screw on one of the poles was missing. Luckily I had a part from another lamp to replace it. My most recent order had a slightly misshapen shade but hidden away by putting fault away from view. The person I bought these lamps for is elderly and likes to keep same type of floor lamp.The product seems to loosing its quality each year since first bought about 15 years ago with the shade breaking too easily.

Nice lamp
Within 2 days of getting the lamp I had to return it as one of the sections of trunk wouldn't screw together. I got a replacement only to find that the thread on one bit of the sections was broken. I unscrewed it, turned the threaded piece around and screwed it back into place. I could then screw it into the base. It is a lovely lamp and the bulbs I bought at the same time give off a lovely light.

"This plastic lamp shade is not fixed with the plastic cup together so it can be changed as long as the replace shade bottom size matches the top size of the cap."

Any bulb you like that fits the ES socket.
There is a MAXIMUM of 60 watts - and of course with modern LED bulbs you could get a lot brighter than an old 60w filament bulb.
