Hmmm?
Bought these a couple of weeks ago, but found it difficult to set them up. The instructions are a bit vague, for a younger person they probably would be able to do it, but for me at 66 found it difficult and still can’t do it, hence 3 stars

Hey Spanner,
I can advise that the timer is an on/off switch and is not designed to control dimmable loads.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello there. As long as your slow cooker does not exceed the maximum of 2400 watts, then this would be fine. Thanks for using Q and A.
Hello There.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Triple Pack 7-Day Electronic Timers.
That warning is a legacy note from the time when “energy-saving bulbs” meant Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs). CFLs require a high-voltage start-up pulse to energize the gas inside the tube. This surge can feed back into the timer’s electronics and damage it.
Modern LED energy-saving bulbs do not have this start-up pulse. They draw a steady, low current and are generally safe for use with electronic timers. In fact, LEDs have proven to be a much more reliable load for these devices.
You can use the timer with your lamp if you switch to LED bulbs instead of CFLs. This will give you the same energy-saving benefits without risking damage to the timer.
Thank you for using Q & A.
Hi brightlight, thank you for your enquiry.
The Random function operates between 6pm and 6am, randomly choosing a duration between 1 and 30 minutes then a function from either on or off, at the end of the duration it does this again and continues to do this until 6am, so potentially it can switch between zero times (if it always chooses off) and 720 times (if it changes state ever time and only selects 1 minute for each duration).
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Perri, thank you for your enquiry.
There are 10 available timer slots in these timers, so you could do this ever hour for nearly half a day but _not_ 24 times in a day.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Rick, thank you for your enquiry.
The reference to 7 days is only that this is the repeat period, rather than every 24 hours, the timer will actually continue to perform the programmed on and off events for as many weeks as it is plugged in and in Auto mode.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Crina, thank you for your enquiry.
The TES7 (our code for this timer) has a maximum switching capacity of:-
10A (2,400W / 2.4kW) of resistive load or
1A (240W / 0.24kW) or inductive load
If your Challenge Oil filled radiators fall below these maximums then the are suitable for use in conjunction with the TES7.
Hope this helps and thank you for your purchase.
Hi Rob D,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The timer is not designed for use with CFL lamps. However, it is suitable for LED bulbs, and we have not received any reports of issues when used in this manner.
Hello there. The Triple Pack 7-Day Electronic Timers will only use seconds in countdown mode according the instructions from the below document.
