Good phone for older people
I bought these for my 91 year-old Mum. Once set up, they do exactly what she wanted and I was able to increase the volume of the ringer and the number of rings before the answer for cutting in which is a feature she wanted. So far my mum is very happy with them and also uses the extra volume feature on the side of the control. The buttons are also nice and large and far better than our older BT phone.

Bought for elderly relative (90+), so large clear buttons were essential. This model fits the bill . It has features well beyond a basic phone but so far that is what it is being used for. With a little help with installation and set up was quickly connected and in use. The quad set gives the coverage required too, always a phone close to hand.

The supplier has confirmed. The BT 4600 cordless telephone with answer machine does not have a redial facility. It features a last number redial option, allowing you to call the last number dialled, but it does not include a redial function for calling back to the same number after a missed call.

The number of messages displayed on the handset includes all messages stored, new and old (played). When a message is deleted the display message will be updated accordingly. Hello, from the information we have available, yes the main base unit of this BT 4600 Cordless Quad Telephone (with Answer Machine) can be connected to a Sky Router. If your router has a standard BT phone line port, simply plug it into that. If your router has a RJ-11 port, you can use a RJ-11 to RJ-11 cable, or use a BT phone line to RJ-11 adaptor. Alternatively you can use a Digital Voice Adaptor. These phones can't be connected to Wifi. Thank you for using Argos Q&A.
Hello, from the information we have available, this BT 4600 Cordless Quad Telephone (with Answer Machine) has two BT Call Blocking modes to help you easily manage your incoming calls. You can either set it to Announce all calls not saved in your Contacts list. The caller then has to say their name after the tone and wait to be connected. Or set it to Answer phone. All calls not in your Contacts or Allowed list are then sent straight to the Answer phone, including those on your Blocked list. You can block up to 1000 numbers on this phone.
