Versatile multi-cooker, frying faciilty is good
So far only used it once to cook Jerk Duck; Very good and I had bought it because I wanted long slow cooking and my oven does not go particularly low, plus I did not want to use an oven in this extreme heat!. I am surprised by the steam hole in the lid as I need to keep the humidity in my flat low to prevent recurrence of black mould. I like the fact that it can sear meat, so I guess that it can be used when cooking Indian food to cook the Tarka properly. I had always been put off slow cookers, as simply throwing foods into a pot and bringing them the boil or simmer would result in pretty tasteless and bland food. Being a 'multicooker' it enables frying facilty within the unit without the need to dirty another pan. The non-stick coating looks reasonable and I will wash it gently although have no idea how long it will remain pristine; I am a careful cook and obviously would only ever use wooden utensils to stir (or plastic spatula if I try out the rice cooker facility). The fact that the bowl is attached to the base with handles makes it cumbersome although I was able to find space in my lean-to to enable it to air dry. The overall size is bigger that I would like, but I need the flexibility to cook whatever quanity I like. Storage will be a problem in my small flat it is currently sitting on the dining room floor!

Brilliantly versatile
When my dedicated steamer finally stopped working after over a decade, this caught my eye as a replacement as my large food pot is a bit too big for everyday cooking, and the versatility of the Good To Go was appealing for a great price. No regrets! The only function I've not tried is sous vide, but I've plans for that now I'm confident with everything else it does. Yes, it takes a little longer for it to get up to temperature for both steam and sear functions but it's well worth it for space saving, dispensing with dedicated steamer, slow cooker and rice cooker - it makes perfect rice by the way. Roast chicken is a dream, just sear and roast for great results every time. A huge plus is that, in spite of the size, it's incredibly light. My only niggle is that the handles are a bit big and bulky.

Surprised at how much I love this!
Bought based on good reviews and it does not disappoint. Mainly use for slow cooking which it’s perfect for and super lightweight. Have used a couple of times to sauté before a slow cook which works great! Have recommended it to all my friends.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Russell Hobbs Good To Go 6.5L Electric Multi Cooker 28270: As states in the user manual, these are the steps on how to clean the Multicooker:
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning or storing away.
Remove the control panel and wipe it with a damp cloth.
DO NOT immerse the control panel in water or any other liquid.
The cooking pot and glass lid can be cleaned in the dishwasher, or handwashed in warm soapy water.
Allow to dry thoroughly before storing.
• Don’t use harsh or abrasive cleaners, solvents, cleaning brushes, wire wool, or soap pads.
If the above mentioned are followed the washing procedure should not affect the long term connection to the function panel.

For the low setting, the default cooking time is 8 hours and for the high
setting the default time is 4 hours. To adjust the cooking time, use the up and down buttons. The maximum cooking time is 20hrs.
