Great Little Heater
I bought this little heater purely for my bedroom as a stop-gap for when the nights start to turn chilly but not cold enough to put the heating on....and it worked wonders! Providing you shut any doors and windows it warms a standard size bedroom very well if you put it on say half-hour before going to bed. It has a built in thermostat but no actual temperature gauge as such so if you want the room warmer then just turn the left dial higher (you'll find you'll adjust it to your own specifics after 2 or 3 goes). The fan is quite noisy so I wouldn't consider trying to sleep with it on but personally would turn it off regardless. All in all for around £20 I would definitely recommend.

Already does not work
Bought a mini heater 2 weeks ago and it already does not work!
Challenge
Solid heater for quick warm burst
Reasonably reliable heater but I think there are better options out there. Could do with a bit more power but goof in small spaces that need heating quickly.

Too loud
We had a similar one bought last year from the same brand which is no longer to purchase so we had high hopes. Unfortunately this was so loud that our toddler couldn't sleep while it was on (it's louder than a vacuum!). It also doesn't oscillitate so it was a return for us unfortunately. Did give good amount of heart, but not fit for our purpose.

Ceramic Fan Heater
I brought this fan heater on the 24th September. It warms up a medium size room very quickly, it is easy to store away however, the small moulded cap to lift this item is useless unless you exceptionally small hands.

Great heater!
My room is the coldest room in my house so I bought it to quickly warm up my room when the rest of the house doesn’t need the heating on and it’s so good and I love how small it is. It also isn’t as loud as other heaters I’ve had!

Hello There.
Challenge NT20-20A 2kW Ceramic Fan Heater:
We would not recommended for use in a tent. Tents are enclosed, flammable environments with limited ventilation.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Mj,
Our supplier has confirmed that the Challenge NT20-20A 2kW Ceramic Fan Heater can be used as a cooling fan in hot weather.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello Ray,
The supplier has advised the following for the Challenge NT20-20A 2kW Ceramic Fan Heater:
"If the garage is below 15m², it is OK to use if read the instruction manual carefully." (So, as long as it's used in accordance with the user instructions, it is likely be OK; however, we cannot advise on its suitability for your own garage without more details on the size and type).
It should be dry garage, (no inflammable goods), e.g. a purpose built "room" (usually the sort attached to a house). It would not be suitable for a freestanding, non-watertight, more shed like garage.
Plus, its power source would need to be direct, a plug socket in the garage or the next room to the mains, not an extension cord run from the house to a separate building.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Bpqoricksjwycy,
Challenge NT20-20A 2kW Ceramic Fan Heater 941/6200
There are three settings: 900W/1300W/2000W. A 900-watt fan consumes 0.9 kilowatts an hour (kWh), 1300W is 1.3 kWh and 2000W is 2kWh.
The 3 different setting will use different amounts of energy.
Thank you for using Q&A

Hi Old Dear. If you are on the current UK Price Cap of around 24.5p per unit, this heater would cost at-most 22p an hour on the LOW heat-setting, 32p an hour on the MEDIUM one, and 49p an hour on HIGH. You can reduce these costs by either turning the heater off sooner, or using the thermostat-dial, which will then only bring the heater back-on when the room gets cold-enough to need more heat
Hello,
As the cost depends on variable factors such as your service provider's tariffs, we cannot quantify a cost for usage. It would depend also on things like the size of the room it's being used in, the ambient temperature prior to switching it on and so on. It is a 2kW appliance and it's electrical usage will reflect that.
Thank you for using Q&A.

Hello Sue,
The supplier has advised the following for the Challenge 2kW Ceramic Fan Heater:
“Due to the power requirements, this may overload the extension lead and socket it's connected too. This is the reason why it's suggested not to use an extension lead. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello Tayo,
I can advise the following for the Challenge 2kW Ceramic Fan Heater:
THERMOSTAT CONTROL IN FUNCTION KNOB
The thermostat is used to control the room temperature. It acts as a switch and does not vary the amount of heat output from the heater.
Temperature setting
• Turn the function knob to high temperature setting.
• Once the desired room temperature is reached, slowly turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise until you hear a click. The heater will now stop operating.
• The heater will turn on and off automatically maintaining the room temperature that you have set.
If you mean that it doesn't turn off, then moving the knob to max will turn this function off.
Thanks for using Q&A.
