This washing line was bought to replace an identical one that failed one month after the 3-year guarantee ended. Until then the previous one worked fine. Unlike earlier models this type cannot be opened to allow a competent DIYer to mend it. A clothes line should have a longer lifespan than 3 years, and be designed to make maintenance possible.

Great product, easy to attach to fence post. I prefer the metal hook design because I had a plastic hook one before which broke after time. Retracts safely when not in use. Good value for money as very durable. Has the capacity to hold a full load. I have tried a few retractable lines and so far I think this is the best one out there
