I like this coffee machine. It is quiet when working, works quickly, and is easy to clean. I did find that if the coffee if left on the hot plate to keep warm and switched on still after it has filtered it tastes unpleasant so I found it best to turn the machine off right after the process. The coffee keeps warm for about half an hour after if left in the carafe and left on the hot plate when switched off. The machine is sturdy and well designed.

It's a filter coffee maker, it just does that, so far I am very happy with it, I haven't used the permanent filter as I have loads of paper ones but I'm sure I will some day.

Sturdy, no frills coffee machine which makes a nice cup of coffee. I had one of these about three years ago, when I broke the jug I bought a digital coffee machine which packed up after about 18 months, then I had another digital one which was a bit flimsy and the lid broke. Came back to This one as it does everything it needs to. It is a robust machine, with a simple on/off switch, the long spout means it makes a nice hot cup of coffee and keeps it hot for about 30 minutes. What more could you ask?

From the information we have this item can be used with Melitta cone shape paper filters, both 1 x 2 and 1 x 4 can be used.

The third image shows the filter can be removed along with the part which it sits in and that small springy item should be a anti-drip feature if im not mistaken.
