A bit disappointing
Although this has quite good suction power it does not cut away pet/human hair etc it gets tangled in the roller and has to be cut off after every use with scissors and this prevents the roller from moving. Quite good versatility with the angle to go under furniture

Shark hoover
This is a replacement for an older model. The suction is just as good, if not better than the previous model. My only gripe with Shark, is they make it difficult to repair minor faults. I can't fault the performance, though.

Amazing suction amazing lightweight upright hoover
I bought one a year ago and love it so much i have just purchased another so i can have one up and one downstairs great suction lightweight and very sturdy i have a golden retriever and it makes light work of all her hair . Very easy to maneouver under furniture and the lift away is amazing for stairs and reaching high places for cobwebs. Easy clean filters that work Highly recommend the classic Shark and great price

Hard to manoeuvre - very disappointing
Disappointed by this, replacing a previous Shark model which was much better. This one is extremely difficult to manoeuvre, making it hard to use. Especially poor to move on thick carpets.

At first I was very happy with my new Shark Classic . However, its leaving bits on the carpet. I have cleaned the filter pads, emptied the collection area. I am thinking about returning it to Argos and getting my money back. Especially in this heat having to re clean the carpets and tiles on kitchen floor. I ended up sweeping the kitchen floor and then using the Sharl off the hand to suck up the bits as this was the only to get them clean up.

Not great
The suction is not adjustable. You have Max or just lower than max. I am unable to hoover my carpet with it as the roller stops working and doeant suction my carpet

Good
I had a different model of shark upright pet hoover prior to me getting the new hoover. The old hoover was more expensive and felt sturdy and better quality. This one is more powerful but the quality is not the same; feels like it’s going to break if I apply more pressure on. Overall, my partner is happy and so am I, fingers crossed it’s going to last

Yes, the cable should be long enough for most staircases. The Shark Classic Lift-Away comes with an 8-metre power cord, giving you plenty of reach from a nearby socket. On top of that, the hose gives you up to 3 metres of extra reach in portable mode, making it even easier to clean each step comfortably.
