Hi,
Unfortunately you cannot thread the spools with yarn or other fabrics, as the machine will jam. The machine is only built to create the bracelets with the thread that is provided as it was specifically crafted to work perfectly.
Regarding the knots – the clasps again were designed to properly hold the bracelets and all of the strands in place for a long period of time. A knot system most likely won’t work because of the quantities of strands used.

Hi djmama, thank you for your question. Unfortunately you cannot use any other spools with the Kumi Kreator as it can only function with the specific type of strings and spool it comes with.
Yes you can buy your own wool and wrap it around the original spool you get with it
