Great product and works well…
Purchased this Apple Magic Keyboard to accompany my M4 IPad. It works really well and it quality as you would expect from Apple. The only thing that has out me off is 7 days after purchase Argos drop the price from £299 to £249! Could have saved £50!

Poor Customer Service
When the product was registered, it only showed up as a 9 month support with Apple, although Argos guaranteed 1 year support. Argos are not apple certified if issues and would not be able to troubleshoot. Argos agreed to send me a receipt with serial number of keyboard so that Apple could update the support date. They just sent me a VAT receipt with out the apple serial number even though promised.

great product - but could be even better
Product is very good, high quality as you would expect from Apple, but allows pretty limited ability to pull the lower edge of the iPad forward as you might want to to draw on screen. The fact that the iPad is heavier than the keyboard means it's never very stable and tends to want to tip backwards when the screen is touched. The USBC connector on the "spine" is for power only, not data, which is a bit dissapointing. Unfortunately the lovely packaging that Apple products was in far from pristine condition. The store I went to (Old St) only had one in stock, so I accepted it, I imagine previous customers might not have done, and so that's why it was the last one! It would be good if Argos looked after their stock a little better, particularly on high-value items, where is a customer comes to re-sell, buyers will expect to see original packaging in good condition.

iPad can now almost be a MacBook
There are times when a laptop is easier to use than a tablet. This accessory keyboard/trackpad pretty much transpose my iPad into a MacBook. Easy to attach, able to adjust the screen to a useable angle and shuts just like a laptop. And I still have the option to use the iPad on its own when lounging about on the sofa. Yes it’s an expensive piece of kit, although Argos competitive price helped lessen the pain, yes a MacBook would probably be better to use with extra ports etc and slightly larger screen. But cost wise the combination is definitely more affordable than buying an iPad plus a MacBook and is a more than liveable compromise.
