About this product
The Vax Air Stretch Pet Max is a multi-cyclonic upright that keeps its suction steady for consistent pickup across carpets and hard floors. It's designed for homes with pets, and the turbo tool makes short work of stubborn pet hair on furniture and stairs. The stretch hose and 13m cord give you a reach of 17m, so you can move through several rooms without unplugging, and at 5.6kg it's light enough to carry up and down stairs without much fuss.
The motorised floorhead adjusts between surfaces, and the 1.5l dustbin means you won't stop to empty it often. It's bagless, so no faffing with replacements, and multi-cyclonic technology keeps suction consistent as the bin fills. You get a full set of tools including turbo brush, mattress nozzle, crevice nozzle, upholstery nozzle, and dusting brush, handling upholstery, stairs, corners and floors. Very disappointed
Bought this vacuum cleaner on the strength of the reviews but I can't agree. The vacuum is fine if there is no furniture in the room. Even when the cleaner is reclined it doesn't go under my couch and chair. This means using the stretch hose which is complicated and there is a big loss of suction. It had trouble picking up cobwebs. The dirt box clogged up quickly and was hard to open. This took a long time as I have Arthritis in my hands. Also, the instruction was not very clear. All in all, very disappointed.

Great suction but weak cable
It is great at sucking up all the dirt and dust overlooked by my last machine. I find all the attachments rather complicated and the manual didn't help with figure out how to use them. Biggest issue is when I accidently went over the cable (the cable is soooo long) it ripped through the plastic and exposed the wiring... so currently looking at repairing that. So yes suction very strong and bristles very rough but cable rather weak

Maho gave up today so I’ve had to get this one as I have a VAX carpet cleaner it’s brilliant so I thought I’d tried the VAX Hoover in as well and it’s made my carpets well cleaner

I brought this to replace our old vax that did not work anymore, it is a great cleaner. Just annoying on having to attach the extension hose out it all back on the hoover again to use it.

Needed to replace my old Vax pet hoover and was happy to go for Vax again as it is powerful on all surfaces and I find it easy to use and is quite quiet. It is a little on the heavy side for me (in my 70s) but ok thus far as the other pros outweigh the con. Would recommend. Good hoover at a good price.

Powerful Suction!!
Very good hoover, picks up really well and it actually looks like our carpet has pile again as the suction is so strong. It has a very long power cable which is handy and the extension cord is long too so good when hoovering stairs. The only downside is that you have to keep changing the cord if you want to use the extension hose which can be sometimes tricky, especially if the grip isn't too good in your fingers. I'm sure it will get easier over time.

I replaced my old vacuum of 36 years and had no idea that technology had advanced so far. For the price this is an excellent machine. It's slightly heavy but glides very well when in use. Doesn't do corners so well but the attachments works fine for that. Suction is very strong from carpet to wood flooring and the noise is fine. Very pleased with my purchase.

Yes. But I believe the brush only works when the slider on the front, which you alter for deep carpets or laminate, is on a particular side, it does not work on both.
