Fits openings 55 up to 89cm and can be extended to fit up to 114cm (extension sold separately). Bought this to keep my small dog in or out!
This stair gate is brilliant as it folds right back on itself and doesn’t require a frame, so there’s no stepping over a bar to get through the kitchen entrance, not easy half asleep! Saw it first at the cottage I stayed at on holiday and was impressed by its compact design. Sadly my pup can leap over it as it has to be hung quite low, hoping as she grows bigger she’ll be less agile!

Just what we wanted!
Really impressed with these. We put them at the top of the stairs from the bannister to the first door so that we didn’t have to bother cutting into the skirting board or adding a piece of wood. Was easy to fit. Brilliant that it is retractable as no gate in the way when it’s open, no hazardous bar at bottom to trip and easy to open and close with one hand. Brilliant quality, strong and sturdy and looks classy.

I had one that broke in white this time I bought the black one what I love because it’s for the dogs it I would be fantastic for kids because it isn’t easy to open and is strong it has extra pieces that can make it longer but I don’t put them on as I like it to look straight rather than have a bend in it as it folds up think the price could be lower but it does last years ii feel it would be hard for a person with arthritis or low mobility in the hands

These are great especially if you don’t have much space between your doorway it concertinas to save you space they was so good I went back to buy a second one then went back and bought a third one so my little one is super safe all around the house

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the BabyDan Guard Me Auto Foldable Safety Gate: BabyDan does not have a spacer in its range.
For many who have the same challenge, we recommend to mount a thin board or similar on the wall above the skirting board in the same depth/thickness to compensate for the level.
Perhaps paint the board the same colour as the wall and skirting board so that the difference is not visible.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Babydan Guard Me Safety Gate-Black: I would strongly advice you against the GuardMe, if you are looking for a solution to keep ferrets in. The gate is designed to be a bit loose which means that the distance for a ferret to get under will be even bigger than when I measure (at least 3 cms) – in reality the distance will be even bigger.

“ Yes, the Guard Me gate will move if a dog stand up on it – how much will depend on the size of the dog of course.
It is vital that the safety distances are kept when installing this type of safety gate on top of a staircase. ”
