Dyson V8 cyclone
I bought this from Argos while it was on a great offer, and the delivery was prompt and well managed. This model is an upgraded version of the standard V8, with several technical improvements. It’s probably the best in the range—lightweight, with noticeably better suction power, and a trigger that doesn’t need to be held down during use, which is much easier on the finger. The run time has also been improved to around 60 minutes. Overall, it’s an excellent machine for the price and a great purchase from Argos.

Great cordless vaccum cleaner
I have always had Dyson vaccum cleaners would never have any other make. Dyson has the best suction power easy to use and lightweight. I have just replaced my old V7 with the V8 cordless and given my son my old V7 it is still working perfectly.

Flexibility and speed of getting job done.
I already have a dyson at home and bought this one for our church. Our volunteers will enjoy using this cordless vacuum as previously we had one which wasn't cordless and was such a nuisance coping with the cable getting caught up on the end of the pews in the church.

Lovely lightweight cleaner
I bought this handheld Dyson last month and I am well pleased with the performance of it. I have had Dysons for years and they just get better all the time, the first two I had were upright ones and cleaned perfectly last two have been hand held which is fantastic for the home and the car

Very pleased with my Dyson V8. It runs smoothly and the battery doesn't take too long to charge. Find it a little stiff to empty, but easy to clean. Have not used the attachments yet.

Poor battery life
I live in a four bedroom bungalow and although the suction is good the battery isn’t powerful enough to complete a good clean and requires recharging.

The Dyson website says the V8 unit DOES come with a wall storage dock - I presume you store the unit on the wall and simply plug into the charging plug.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Dyson V8 Cyclone Cordless Vacuum Cleaner.
We would like to inform you that loop pile carpets are made with loops of yarn that can snag or fray if exposed to aggressive brushing. The Dyson V8 Cyclone Cordless Vacuum comes with a motorized cleaner head featuring rotating bristles, which are excellent for deep cleaning—but may be too harsh for delicate loop pile surfaces.
To ensure safe use:
Use the soft roller head or turn off the brush bar, if your model allows. This provides suction without agitation, making it safer for loop pile carpets.
Dyson also offers attachments designed for delicate surfaces. If you have the soft roller cleaner head (typically used for hard floors), it may be gentler on loop pile carpet.
Test a small area first to ensure no damage occurs.
Avoid high-power modes that increase brush speed and suction.
Regularly check for snagged fibers after vacuuming.
