I bought this unit for the second time, my first one lasted 2 years, definitely worth the purchase if you have high blood pressure. Im due for heart surgery when my lower artry hits 59-55Mm so 8 more to go but originally it was 47mm

The Omron M4 Intelli IT Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor measures blood pressure and can detect irregular heartbeats. It does not measure blood oxygen. Up to 60 readings can be saved on the machine.

Yes, the M4/X4 (as with all our multi-user blood pressure monitors) is designed for separate usage by each user. As such, readings for each user can be sent to different smartphones or tablets. However, this requires each user to have their own device and a separate account in the app to ensure data is correctly stored and managed.

The supplier has advised the following for the Omron M4 Intelli IT Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor.
The M4 Intelli IT has everything the M3 model has, but with the following additional features listed below:
The Intelli Wrap Cuff – this technology allows for accurate readings even if the cuff is not positioned quite correctly, it self-adjusts with the inflation at different levels all around the circumference, and so will give a quicker reading with less pressure/discomfort.
They also advise that “It is also clinically validated for people who are pregnant including pre-eclampsia or have diabetes.” (We’d have to add here though that, as we cannot give medical advice ourselves, you should check the suitability of this item for any specific medical conditions or requirements, including those referred to here, with a suitably qualified medical professional before considering any purchase).
The ”IT” in the product title also designates that it has Bluetooth connectivity in order to automatically send the readings to the Omron Connect App which you can download on your phone to track the data, so you can view graphs of the history and send details onward to, for example, your GP.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Omron M4 Intelli IT Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor: ''No, the product comes with batteries included to power and operate the product and should not be used with any external power source. When the batteries need re-charging, any power source used that is not an official OMRON AC Adapter could damage the product and will invalidate the Warranty we provide – Details are on our Omron website: Mains Adapter (3 Pin) Blood Pressure Monitor Accessory, and they are available to buy at various places online.
However, the batteries that are already provided with the product should give up to 1,000 readings before the product batteries need any re-charging with an OMRON adaptor!''

I was reassured by the first review I read, though not by Traceys response - she obviously hadnt read the question!
Anyway I went ahead and bought an M4 and am pleased to report that it seems to cope perfectly well with an irregular pulse and is giving satisfactory readings.
Incidentally it seems that this dialogue box doesnt recognise apostrophes...

''The OMRON Connect app is free for all users, the customer just needs to download the app and sync the device, however we also have a Premium subscription, which is free for the first 6 months when purchasing the OMRON M4, M7 and Evolv. After that, there is a charge of £6,66 a month with an annual plan.''
