Old traditions
I am leaning into old-school pots and pans. Non-stick doesn’t really work for me. I already have cast-iron frying pans, but I needed something to simmer my spaghetti bolognese or lasagne sauce with tomato juice. So, this beauty was recommended by my workmate. This pot is now my favourite! I cook for two people in it, with the intention of having leftovers for the next day – cook once, eat twice. I bought it with the plan of having a wider frying space and higher walls, to accommodate extra splish and splash, extra ingredients and liquids (that’s how witches cook 🧙♀️) and to make extra meals for guests. I haven’t tried baking bread in it yet – that’s my new goal. It’s also pretty heavy. I’m very pleased with handle on the lid – comfortable to grip and don’t heat up quickly. I had to return the first pot because the enamelled surface was bubbled, and I was worried it would start chipping sooner. So, with the second one, I was super happy.

Well made, great colour.
Used this twice now to make sourdough and it worked a treat. Feels well made and is easy to handle. It’s heavy, but not too heavy. Lid handle is made of steel so can go in the oven too. The colour is fantastic too. Looks just like the photos.

What a find! This pot is effectively a replica of that famous French brand that leaves you skint. It’s solid, holds heat well on the stove and oven and I used it for casserole as well as bread making. 10/10

No we would not recommend using this on a barbecue. Enamel-coated cast iron (as this product is) can:
Be damaged by direct flame or uncontrolled high heat
Suffer cracking or chipping if exposed to sudden extreme temperature changes
Face discolouration or coating failure from charcoal or gas BBQ hotspots.
