A very good printer
Recently purchased my printer to replace an inkjet. For the price I paid I am extremely happy with my purchase. The footprint is small and it also has all the features I require. I am very happy with the print quality it is fast and reasonably quiet. All in all a good buy.

Brilliant no-hassle printer
I bought this a few weeks ago and after an initial issue with the paper tearing as it went through (it did this about half a dozen times) it is printing in both colour and black and white like a dream. I really like the way the printer does the sizing for you when you send things to print from your phone. A great piece of kits!

I bought this printer two weeks and it is printing perfectly.

Machine seems good but software not.
Followed the instructions to download the software but although happy with IT normally, am still frustrated after a month. Have the iPrint &scan installed but says it needs the full package. Have tried many times to install, hd VPN both off and on, have uninstalled all Brother software and tried to do a clean install but still little progress. They badly need to sort out the sofware.

Great printouts, cumbersome setup.
Bought this last month. Registered product with Brother and received £60 cash back (via Brother website). Quality of prints good, but dependent on paper quality (obviously). You need to go to the website and download their app for your Mac/PC in order to scan wirelessly. A bit cumbersome to setup. Printing is easy though

Brother MFC-L3740CDWE Wireless Colour Laser Printer
Having checked I can see this is a laser printer. The main difference between the two is that instead of a laser being used to beam the design onto the drum, an array of LEDs within the printer is used instead. This blinks the image or text that is being printed onto a positively-charged drum, creating a negative charge that attracts print toner, in the same way as laser printing.
