I am 90 years old so was so pleased I was able to set up my new Samsung tv un aided. I did find difficulty in sourcing my Virgin Media supplier but realised the correct use of the HDMI connection made all the difference, so problem solved Not yet sure how to use all the default programms/apps available but looking forward to trying a;;

"I can confirm the TV does have free view." They add that, to access Freeview channels, that you please ensure you have a TV aerial connected and run an auto tune from your TV settings.
