Quiet, powerful, has all the features could want (pivot, tilt etc). Havent worked out how to dust the fans however with the cage.

Excellent fan
During the hot summer months of 2025, this fan was excellent. On the low setting, it is so quiet it can be left on all night for an undisturbed sleep. On the very lowest power setting, the horizontal oscillation can be set so that a gentle breeze covers the whole bed or room. This fan is not cheap to buy, but very cheap to run. Quality British engineering at its best.

Bought this in the heat of the summer and found it the best value at Argos. Stylish and functional with multi-speed and rotating head. Quiet too!

A fan with great design and features.
We bought this fan just before the real start of the summer and the price was fair enough, considering how good the fan is. On the back of that, we went to buy another and found that the price had increased by £35 in less than two months!! On to the fan itself, it is really quiet (a friend couldn't believe how quiet it was) meaning you can sleep no problem with it on. The modular design of the stand is nice and it is really easy to put together. The controls are easy and we like the fact that the remote attaches to the front of the fan magnetically, so that it is harder to lose. Overall, highly recommended if you can get for the original price of £145. Would I now pay the extra? I would have to think hard about it.

bought this fan over the summer, and it’s honestly one of the best I’ve ever owned. It has great settings, runs incredibly quietly, and keeps the room comfortable without being distracting. I absolutely love it and can’t wait to bring it back out next summer!

Great fan with great features
Bought this a while back now and it's great, really adjustable, pretty quiet until you ramp the speed right up (and it does get really fast too), great range of motion up and down and left and right. I like the remote too that sticks to the actual fan so I can't lose it easily.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Meaco Sefte White Pedestal Fan - 10 Inch: The sensor on the fan shows the current room temperature, but the fan itself doesn’t let you set or change the temperature since it’s not an air conditioner.

The Meaco Sefte White Pedestal Fan - 10 Inch has a brushless motor for a quieter operation, the noise level starts at 25 decibels which is considered very quiet. For, comparison, 30 decibels is considered to be a whisper.
Higher speeds may be slightly louder, but, all in all, this is a very quiet fan.
