Replaced after few months use
After few months TV had a picture fault dark patches in corners of TV one corner was so bad it was distracting making TV unusable. After the hassle of getting a replacement the new TV has very slight discoloration in corners that is hardly noticeable. Hopefully this does not get worse like previous TV. Other than that we are happy with the picture quality, sound and operation.

Excellent value. Great picture
We have had this 6 months now. For the price it would be hard not to give it 5 stars. The only issue we have had is with BBC player sound mot syncing well on the Google TV app though it's fine through our Manhatten receiver/ recorder. We output the sound using an optical cable to our hifi and this works well. The sound through the built in speakers is ok but much better through our hifi. The 4 stars below for sound would be through the TV. The picture is bright with good contrast. The viewing angle is fine. It looks excellent with full HD input and very sharp with UHD input. In reviews I note that it probably isn't the best for fast moving scenes but we've been perfectly happy with the picture. It's an absolute bargain

Poor out of the box experience
I bought this as I thought it would be a set up from our Hisense QLED that was damaged by accident but this TV was shockingly poor. HDR performance was much better than what you get with the dimmer QLEDs that are a little cheaper. But the motion... Put simply there seems to be two options. 1) use the post-processing motion and clarity settings that smoothes image BUT introduces digital artefacts, blur and pixelation or 2) disable all of those features and deal with minor stutter and jerkiness on everything. I had the whole family watching a film and with those features on they'd point out that as soon as someone started moving around at more than walking pace you'd get digital artefacts. Turn it off and it was like a video game just struggling for a fixed framerate. Put on some Formula 1 and it was like deciding between a blurred colour moving across the screen or having the car stutter across. I tinkered with the settings for hours but ended up returning and buying another Hisense for £90 cheaper. The Hisense E78 is QLED and the colours aren't as good but with the post processing features on there are rarely very few artefacts, if any. A much smoother, more consistent image.
