Friday Afternoon Model
Computer arrived well packed but upon set-up had missing and corrupted software installs. Works fine now but had to spend 8 hours talking to ASUS Tech Support & hours downloading new software to re-install. Computer refreshes monitor at 100 frames a second but my 3 year old monitor could not handle that and had be replaced (older monitors refresh at 60 frames a second). Once working properly its great - maybe I just got a Friday afternoon one.

Just replaced computer which was Windows 10 to this Asus desktop with Windows 11. Only second day of using (and getting used to) but so far impressed.

Good spec, reasonable price
I bought this for home use and wanted ato future proof it by getting an i7 with expandable RAM and SSD. It was a reasonable price and I am pleased with the quality and performance so far. However I wanted to fit my two SATA SSD drives to increase the storage, and although there are two SATA slots, ASUS do not make it easy by providing SATA power connections. I am going to have to do some research to find out how to connect them.

I bought this to replace my old computer that broke. This ASUS is fast and quiet. Reasonable high spec so should last many years.

Great Quality and Value
A first foray into the Win11 compatible world. Great build quality but surprisingly there is no where inside the case to mount an extra ssd. Lots of air but no bracket. Ok so my spare goes in a caddy and attaches usb style but there are not that many usb ports and the rear facing ones are only usb 2, not a show stopper but could be better. Overall I am impressed it is so quiet and produces little heat. Performance is great a quantum leap from my old core i5 as to win11well time will tell on that. Definitely a recommended buy you won’t be disappointed.

While possible, in doing so will void the warranty. Space will also be a factor as there may not be enough space to allow the GPU to be installed due to cable routing.

The ASUS V500 PC does not have a built-in internal disk (optical) drive, and the visible slot in the chassis is not an functional bay for this model. However, it does include an integrated card reader.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the ASUS V500 i7 16GB 512GB Desktop PC: GTX1050 Ti is an older card so it hasn’t been tested.
It is compatible with newer cards like RTX4060 & RTX5060.

It can decode them, however depending on the codec and their bit depth it may struggle. This is assuming you are using it as a server for a media application such as jellyfin or Plex.

IT DOES NOT HAVE AN RTX 4060!!
it has standard intel onboard graphics. a graphics card can be fitted , but it looks like the standard power supply is only 180w , which means something like a GT730 is the best it can handle.
