The controller is different from the one in the photograph and there is norhing on the box that specifically says this is from the 3 rd movie (just "Cars"). Otherwise it works okay. Got 2 AA batteries included for the controller but the car is usb charged (wire included).

Great Christmas Present
My son loves lightning McQueen and this remote control car has been lots of fun for him and his cousin to play with. The wire is wound up in the car so you can't lose it which was good. It charges in a mains. The battery in the controller has lasted since Christmas and he plays with it a lot. Only think I've noticed is it doesn't go as fast as it didn't when it was brand new but to be honest it doesn't really effect use My son still loves it and it's still working. Lovely gift 👍🏼

The car is easily charged with the USB cable stored in the compartment on the underside of car.
A charge lasts aged.
The remote handset has 2 batteries I think AA but just check , could be the smaller AAA.

IT TAKES BATTERIES
I have just coleected mine. The dimensions given for the car size are actually the box size. The car is 6cm x 8cm x 18cm and the box is 14 x 14 x 28cm...unless they have sold me a mini version! I have reported it to the feedback page.

To pair the controller to the car, please see the below instructions from the manual.
1 Power “On” the vehicle
2 Push the controller right stick and hold for 5 seconds,
controller light should be flashing.
3 Release the controller right stick then start to play.
4 If the car does not respond, then switch “Off” vehicle
and repeat above steps 1 to 3.
