Does the washing easier
I bought three weeks ago

Built in washer dryer
Very good machine. Considerably quieter than my old AEG. All functions work well and we are very pleased with it. Not a lot of choice for washer dryers but this seems to fit the bill for us. The menu system needs the instruction book to hand for a few goes as some buttons have dual function. Good value for money and we got free installation.

Delighted.
Very happy with this washer dryer. Easy to use and the results are great. The machine is so quiet even in spin high speed mode which was very important to us.

Excellent product
Really happy so far with great results produced … easy to use, good size drum and first time we’ve had a ‘countdown’ which is brilliant… would definitely recommend

You need to love ironing
I had to replace my previous washer/dryer as the bearings had gone and it was unbearably noisy. This AEG sounds like a dream by comparison. It is really quiet when spinning, there are lots of wash options to choose from and, initially, I was very pleased with my choice. However, this soon changed. I have aways machine-washed and then hung shirts, blouses etc. on hangars and left to dry, either on the line or in my airing cupboard. No ironing necessary! Despite not overloading the drum, each wash comes out of the machine very creased. It's so frustrating. If I had known, I would never have made this purchase.

Washer/dryer
Have only been using the washer/dryer for a few weeks following a kitchen refurbishment. So far so good. My main criticism would be that it’s not that easy to work out the programmes despite using the instruction manual. And a lot of the programmes seem so long i.e 3 or 4 hours. I have tended to use the quick 20 min wash cycle which is fine. The machine is quite quiet which is good. The dryer works ok but like most appliances which are multi purpose they never work as well as individual machines. My previous stand alone dryer was far better. Overall though I am happy with the product but probably suited to a couple rather than a family but I guess it all depends on available space in the kitchen

Efficient and quiet
Very pleased with this washer/dryer. It's efficient and quieter. Haven't tried all the programmes yet but more than happy so far 😊

Quiet and efficient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very pleased with the results. Leaving it to wash and dry overnight on cheaper electricity means clean warm clothes every morning.

It sounds like your AEG L7WE74634BI washer dryer may be experiencing a temporary door lock issue after the drying cycle. This isn’t necessarily a fault, but it can be a sign of a few things:
Causes for Door Not Opening After Drying
Normal Safety Lock Delay: After drying, the door lock may take 2–5 minutes to release. This is a standard safety feature to prevent burns or leaks.
Residual Heat or Water: If the drum is still hot or contains water, the door may stay locked until it cools or drains.
Electronic Glitch: Sometimes, the control board may not send the unlock signal properly. Restarting the machine (as you did) can reset it.
Door Lock Mechanism Wear: If this happens frequently, the door lock mechanism might be starting to fail and could need replacement.
Restarting the machine is a good first step. It often resets the lock.
If the issue resolved after doing this, it’s likely a temporary glitch rather than a permanent fault.
If this keeps happening:
Try waiting 5 minutes after the cycle ends before attempting to open the door.
Check if the “key” icon (door lock symbol) is still showing on the display.
Make sure the machine has fully drained.
If the problem persists or worsens, it may be worth contacting AEG support or a technician to inspect the door lock assembly.
