Russell Hobbs BRITA Purity Filter Clear Plastic Kettle holds a BRITA MAXTRA PRO Limescale Expert Filter cartridge which helps prevent the build upbuild-up of limescale in the kettle. The 3kw of power ensures rapid boil so you won't be waiting for a brew. It has a 1L capacity, so it's big enough to make up to four cups. The Perfect Pour spout ensures the water goes into your cup without splashing over your work surfaces and to keep your work top clutter free, the base has integrated cord storage so it can be tidied away when it's not in use.
The BRITA water filter reduces impurities such as chlorine, lead and copper, preventing scale deposits for a longer product lifetime. A built-in indicator reminds the consumer when it's time to change the filter cartridge and there is a free MAXTRA PRO Limescale Expert cartridge included to get you started.

It's okay
The kettle seems to be okay after the first couple of days ... except the lid was so stiff it felt like it couldn't rise to 90 degrees so I did wonder how I was supposed to fill it, let alone get the filter in. The instructions in the accompanying booklet were pretty useless. The filter seems to be working. The kettle does boil quickly enough. The blue filter indicator does not work though. You can't put much water in at once because the filter restricts the quantity, so you have to keep filling and refilling the kettle piecemeal.

Urgent purchase when old kettle stopped working but so much quicker than the old one. Time for tea!

This kettle was bought as a replacement, it is slightly light but so far very quick boiling. The only expense is the replacement filters, but if this cuts down the chalk build up.

This kettle is really good. Heats up quickly and because of the filter makes a great cup of tea. I use limescale pro mantra which last nearly a month.

Strange taste to Tea
The kettle is not glass it is plastic. Previously we used a brita water jug and separate kettle. I do not like this product because it is made from plastic that isn’t clear. I thought it would be glass. Also we noticed the tea/coffe taste strange e we stopped using it after 2 weeks. It was quite when boiling.
