For an old bloke on a pension who just wanted to do a bit of a job it fine. What you get for the price is a sander which is more than adequate for small jobs around the home which is easy to use and store.

The supplier has advised the following for the Guild Detail Sander - 135W:
"You can use a detail sander on plasterboard after applying plaster, but only for very light sanding to smooth out small imperfections or high spots; it's not recommended for large areas due to the potential for removing too much plaster and creating uneven surfaces."

Yes, the Guild Detail Sander - 135W could be used to lightly sand oak kitchen worktops prior to waxing, however you may wish to consider a more general purpose pad sander because of the area involved.
