Great Sander
This does all the jobs that an expensive main brand sander does. The dust box isn't the best however I used with the vacuum cleaner so hardly any mess. It fits standard sanding sheets. I didn't find the vibration too bad as which electric sander doesn't vibrate. Its excellent for the money.

So easy to use for a DIY novice
I bought this to sand down a wooden bannister rail which had been varnished. It did the job extremely well, was easy to use and light to hold for long periods of time. The sanding sheets were very long lasting and easy to change. I've never had to use a sander before but I'm now thinking of other projects around the home which it will be useful for. Bargain price too

A sander in need of a vacuum cleaner.
This was sale item in Argos and I soon found out why. Although a dust collection box is included, it simply doesn't work and the whole room (with a small area of plaster I was sanding down) was covered in an archeological layer of white dust. I can still see the remnants over a week later. If you buy this, use the vacuum cleaner connection option!

Yes, it works for small domestic use.
Hoped to sand off splashes of concrete on skirting boards in small area and do doors and architraves in a small 3m x 1.5m bathroom. It did the job on skirting boards but I found this tool SO NOISY! Louder than my Guild drill I think. Having said that, I did attach my vacuum to it on first (only) use and it did a great job with no mess. That would have added to the noise. However, for under twenty pounds and doing a job that I could not be bothered to complete by hand, I am glad I bought it. My tolerance for the noise limits the times I'll use it though. Pointed nose good for flat narrow areas. My ignorance, I can't use it well on curved areas like bullnose wood trim so may have to revert to elbow grease.

I used this on my bannister and I thought it was a bit rubbish to be honest. My mum was helping with just sand paper and was doing a way better job than me. I tried pressing really hard or really light or somewhere in between and it barely touched the paint. Not impressed at all. Save your money and buy a selection of sandpaper. I found it hard to hold onto too

Yes this would be fine for sanding wooden floorboards due to the size of area/how many please take into consideration the size of the room/quantity of boards because it could be time consuming.
