I brought this item with the intention to use a lot but the torque on it is so poor that I end up using a manual screwdriver to finish screwing the screw into any type of wood, would not recommend this item.

i bought this screwdriver to build up flatpack furniture in bedroom it made it a lot easier to assemble it was worth every penny and is so versitile would recomend it for anyone needing a cordless driver

Good little ectric screwdriver for the price!
If you only using this on the odd occasion around the house for small little jobs look no further but if you are a keen DIYier I would advise to look for something more "up market. Battery lasts an acceptable amount of time, changes fairly quick and it comes with enough bits to get you started.

The supplier has advised the following for the Guild Fast Charge Screwdriver & 45 Piece Accessories - 3.6V:
"It is not a drill.
It can screw wood screws into tree logs up to a required torque of 4Nm.
The torque required depends entirely on the length and thickness of screw and the density of the wood log.
It would help to drill pilot holes for the screws."

On checking the manual I can see to turn on the light simply press the on/off switch. When you release the on/off switch, the light will be off.
