Does the job
Purchase this recently and it does the job, although setting it up and choosing which options you want is painful. Next task is to decide which ring plan to choose, if a product has useable benefits why not just decide on a price and provide it to the consumer, why so may levels and pricing structures which many of us non techs understand anyway

Truth is the ring plus ring doorbell is better than the pro 100% reason being is the pro doesn’t detect correctly and the plus does wanted to upgrade but I’ve kept my ring plus as it’s 100 times better in all areas etc. had to get refund and it’s totally no good the ( pro ring doorbell)

Works with 5g which others don't.
I bought this as a necessity. Actually works with 5g which Gen2 does not!. It's great except you have to dismantle it to charge batteries, which is not so great !!

yes bought about a month ago and have found it a godsend because it makes one feel safe because it vidios everyone passing by and linked to ALEXA tells me whos at the door wel worth the money spent .

Disppointing
I bought this as an “upgrade” for my old Ring Doorbell 2 but have been very disappointed. The battery has last no more than a week, despite adjusting all the settings and turning some functions off altogether. It frequently misses people coming up the path to the door and doesn’t differentiate between motion and a person. Whilst the camera view , fish eye lens and parcel detection are much better the negatives really do let it down. Weekly battery changes and missing person detection are not acceptable.

We were looking to get one for awhile,and it doesn’t disappoint it’s brillent,we wouldn’t be with out one,it does take awhile to set up.it cost £80 a year if you want the extras which we got.

Having checked I can see Ring doorbells have an IP rating of IPX5, which means they are water-resistant. This rating indicates that the doorbell can withstand low-pressure water jets from any direction but is not suitable for continuous immersion in water.
