About this product
Never lose track of the things that matter. The Samsung SmartTag2 is a compact Bluetooth tracker that attaches to your keys, bag or anything else you're prone to misplacing - and helps you find them fast through the SmartThings Find app. With an impressive battery life of up to 500 days, you're not constantly swapping out power, and the IP67 rating means it'll handle dust, splashes and the occasional rain shower without missing a beat. At just 14g, it's light enough to clip onto almost anything without adding noticeable weight or bulk.
Lost something in the house? The Search Nearby feature gives intuitive directions via Compass View, guiding you to your misplaced item. If it's under cushions or in a coat pocket, the Ring Your Tag function makes it call out so you can find it by sound. It works seamlessly with Galaxy smartphones and tablets running Android OS 9 or higher, and with a UWB-enabled Galaxy device, you get even more precise tracking. Running on Bluetooth v5.3, it includes the battery, a tray eject pin, a quick start guide, and a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee for peace of mind.

Samsung SmartTag is easy to set up, useful for tracking luggage, keys, pets, and vehicles, especially with Samsung phones. Battery life and location accuracy vary; best in urban areas with many Samsung users.

Very pleased
Easy to set up. Extremely useful when travelling. I could see that my suitcase hadn’t left Edinburgh airport so could address it with airport staff rather than waiting for all luggage at baggage belt

Cheaper than a GPS and no subscription fees.
I bought this to locate my car in a non local car park. It will give you a hint as to where you have parked. Also, it will give you a history of your last journey. And if it has been stolen, the whereabouts to where it is now. The location is not 100% accurate as it uses other galaxy phones to send an approximate location.

Easy to use and works well
I bought this a few weeks ago to put on my sons rucksack for when he goes backpacking. Its working really well, so when I don't hear from him I can just have a quick look to see where in the world he is. Easy to link with smart things on my Samsung phone.

Gives peace of mind
Not bad for the price,( though it was nearly double the price of apple tag.) Seems to give approximate location, within 10 metres or so. And can take a while to refresh. But overall does let you know where it is.

Great for tracking keys, luggage or kids. Skiing.
I bought these to track keys around house but then also used to track kids while skiing. Helped to track them when doing ski school pick up. When outdoors it would track over 100m. In ski resort it provided almost real time feedback on location. Often meaning I could squeeze in another run. Works great in the house too when looking for the keys. Worked great in luggage when flying too. About to buy 4 more to save connecting and disconnecting from keys.

SmartTag
If you're tech savvy you'll know this can only be used with a galaxy. If you've got an android phone it's useless

The batteries in the SmartTag2 are replaceable, Belle. It requires 1 x CR2032 coin cell battery, and can be replaced using the following method:
1. Remove the cover from the SmartTag.
2. Remove the battery. You may need to use a tool to remove the battery.
3. Insert a new battery into the SmartTag and replace the cover.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for your question, Niqte. The Galaxy SmartTag2 requires the SmartThings app and a Samsung account to function correctly, so it is only compatible with Galaxy devices. We hope this helps.

Hello There,
Yes, you can monitor multiple Samsung SmartTag2 devices with just one Samsung phone. In fact, you can register up to 200 SmartTags to the SmartThings app on a single phone. However, keep in mind that the performance may vary depending on the surrounding wireless network environment.
Thank you for using Q&A

Samsung SmartTag2 - White
Yes, this is suitable.
Thanks for using Q&A
Thank you for this question, David.
The compatibility between the Galaxy SmartTag2 and non-Galaxy devices is limited, and you would need to connect it to a Galaxy smartphone with SmartThings support and to use SmartThings Find.
Should you wish to change smartphone, the Galaxy SmartTag2 will still be registered to your Samsung account and SmartThings Find, which you can access from a different phone when needed.
Hope this helps.
