Really quiet and versatile
I wanted a kitchen aid because they a meant to be quieter than the “other” brand I had. I was surprised at the choice of colours. I chose white. It is VERY quiet. After making a cake to try it out, I found it really to use. The cake… was lighter than my old mixer. Can’t wait to get some of the accessories. I would highly recommend this for the occasional cook or the professional cook. 10 out of 10.

I have used this a few times since purchasing, it is easy to use, fairly quiet and whips the mixture really well. It is quite heavy to move so best to have a set space for it.

The Kitchenaid stand mixer is a sturdy heavy piece of kit. It is easy to use, but the controls are on the left hand side of the mixer, instead of the right, as I am used to. The locking mechanism is on the right hand side.

These are the main differences:
Warranty - Classic 2 years, Artisan 5 years.
Power - Classic 275W, Artisan 300W
Attachments - Classic 3 attachments, Artisan 7 attachments
Bowl Capacity - Classic 4.3L, Artisan 4.8L.

Depends what do you really want to use it for. Classic has slightly less Power then Artisan. Also there is bowl difference, one comes with handle other without, but you can purchase additional bowl with handle.
For cakes both are perfect and for dough maybe. Bases on my research both are not very good for dough but do the job. If you are more looking for bread maker, I would buy Classic and breadmaker seperately. For bread invest in breadmaker with kneeding function.
