Good starter non smart phone for 11 year old
Good first phone for my 11 year old. Using it with a talk & text SIM so no SMART features available. Buttons are big enough to manage to text, screen is a good size, fairly easy to navigate the menus. Looks cool enough with its flip action (which seems sturdy so far) & the option of music (on a memory card & radio) plus a few games & camera were a big draw over other non smart phones.

It's ok but an old flip phone from 2007 is better.
Nokia only by name. These are basic flip phones that have been updated to work on the 4G networks. They work for calls and texts although ability to store more messages would have been good as you're forever having to clean up. ...and it lacks t9. The rest of the functionality is just to claim it has it rather than being usable. The screen is only really ok for text. Anything captured with the camera doesn't display all that well. The default storage capacity makes this a non issue anyway. The media player lacks any kind of filing capability so you'll get good at creating playlists if having music on the phone is your thing.
