Our 2-way stand provides real versatility - set it up in the standard position or use the soundbar position to keep your sound system neat. The extra height makes this a great gaming display on your desktop too!

Bravia XR
Paid for it to be set up. I did have to change something and found this fairly easy to do. so far so good.

Disappointed and expected better
Disappointed in the quality of the picture, our old Sony (15yrs) is of similar quality. Some times we are watching and think WoW other times faces don't look clear.

Still learning
This T.V replaces my Sony Bravia purchased in 2011 and it is so much better! The picture is clearer and the features of being a smart .T.V. -being able to go back to the beginning of a programme ,going on Apps like IPLAYER and other catch up apps saves me recording items and storing them , shows what I have been missing over the last few years or is it longer ? I'm self teaching myself how to use all the controls and no doubt I am missing out on other improvements . I will probably have to go back to the shop and get them to show me some of the additional features because the print version of how to operate the TV doesn't exist ! Sony did waste a lot of paper printing out a large booklet of other pieces of 'info' in 25 different languages -not very good for the environment

First TV we’ve bought in a while and we LOVE it. The user interface is great and the picture quality is fantastic.
The Original Tigger
Very happy
Great all round product. Very happy with all features
Clover10
Great features
No issues with the tv, easy enough to set up and navigate the menus. Picture quality is excellent. Tv is used with PS5 and it runs at full capability. Negative - 2 x small remotes with tiny buttons..1 large remote would be ideal..it’s an expensive TV also compared to similar quality products

Great 4k Tv
Brought this Tv two weeks ago even with it being an older model now it still holds its own when it comes to picture quality I would highly recommend this
Tvguy92
Excellent Picture & Sound
Excellent picture with vivid colours and great sound. Only one point Sony could change, when the TV was first set up the Sleep Timer had a stand alone icon, now it's suddenly been incorporated in to On Timers - means a bit more fiddling when half asleep! Please revert back with next software update Sony

Poor handset
Good TV but a very, very poor remote control. It is so small that we find it very difficult to get the right button. Can we have a bigger one please?

Hi,
Thank you for your question.
Yes, if you connect headphones to the XR-48A90K it will automatically mute as the TV is designed to send audio to only one of the outputs at a time. However, sound can be output from both an audio system and the TV speakers at the same time using a digital optical cable. You can learn more here: https://cutt.ly/Nr7vmZ09...

Hi Banabelle,
Yes, the Sony 48 Inch XR48A90KU Smart 4K UHD HDR OLED Freeview TV has English subtitles which can be accessed from the settings.
Thanks for using Q&A,
Hi Banabelle,
No, the XR-48A90K doesn't necessarily need a soundbar. Sony's Acoustic Surface Audio technology implemented in this TV model is designed to deliver immersive sound directly from the screen. It creates a wide soundstage and can provide a satisfying audio experience without additional speakers. So, whether you need a soundbar or not, depends on your personal preferences and how much you value audio quality, if you're looking for a more powerful and immersive audio experience, you can check this link to learn more about the TV: https://cutt.ly/JeRnPSdK...

Hi Samjr, in our 2021 lineup, we didn't have a 48 Inch OLED TV. The main difference between the 2021 and the 2022 line up is going to be the introduction of the Bravia Cam as well as the Camera functions, also the new Voice remote control, this model has a built-in MIC switch and has Netflix calibrated mode. We recommend checking this link for the specifications and features: http://bit.ly/3XrYclo...
