Sony OLED is the way to go.
I purchased my new Sony OLED TV a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it’s the best decision I could have made. The picture clarity whilst watching anything produced in 4K is fantastic. The atmos sound is so good there was no need for my sound bar. The choice of apps available is great. I would advise anyone thinking of buying a new tv to definitely give Sony a try.

Buy Well, Buy Once
This product is so good it's almost dangerous. It was pretty easy to get going and easy to control. What made my jaw open wide was streaming 4k images. It was remarkable in its clarity, contrast and colour. The sound coming from the screen is very effective. There is an assumption that the TV needs a sound bar. Possibly if you watch films containing lots of explosions, but for normal entertainment the sounds is exceptionally clear.

Needs easy to find manual on internet.
Wheb working properly it is a good product. I have continual problems with it dealing with the incoming internet having to go online and search for a cause and remedy as the tv does not connect to wired wifi on a ad hoc basis. There are no clear instructions on how to remedy these faults. It is not my incoming signal that is the problem but the tv setup. Lack of a clear manual or where to find one online is frustrating and time wasting, as I stated a good( When it works properly). This does not and lack of clear precise instructions are a big failure when things go wrong. I would like to switch it on and find it working this is not always the case. I say again it is not the incoming signal that is at fault but the tv. like

Sony Bravia tv fantastic quality item
Fantastic tv brilliant picture there’s no better television

Excellent quality
This television has solved two problems we were having in viewing dramas and films. We can now see what is happening in shots taken in low light and we can hear what actors are saying even when there is loud intrusive "background" music. Both of these features were promised by the OLED screen and the sound zoom facilities. Both delivered.

Great quality/features
Purchased this after my 13 year old Samsung TV suddenly stopped working. I paid a bit more than I needed to, and from local rather than national store, as a change from Samsung and because the picture looked fantastic, and quality of the TV features. Fully set up now and I am really pleased with. Hope this one lasts 13 years (or longer)!

Hi,
Thank you for your question.
Yes, if you connect headphones to the XR-48A90K it will automatically mute as the TV is designed to send audio to only one of the outputs at a time. However, sound can be output from both an audio system and the TV speakers at the same time using a digital optical cable. You can learn more here: https://cutt.ly/Nr7vmZ09...

Hi Banabelle,
Yes, the Sony 48 Inch XR48A90KU Smart 4K UHD HDR OLED Freeview TV has English subtitles which can be accessed from the settings.
Thanks for using Q&A,
Hi Banabelle,
No, the XR-48A90K doesn't necessarily need a soundbar. Sony's Acoustic Surface Audio technology implemented in this TV model is designed to deliver immersive sound directly from the screen. It creates a wide soundstage and can provide a satisfying audio experience without additional speakers. So, whether you need a soundbar or not, depends on your personal preferences and how much you value audio quality, if you're looking for a more powerful and immersive audio experience, you can check this link to learn more about the TV: https://cutt.ly/JeRnPSdK...

Hi Samjr, in our 2021 lineup, we didn't have a 48 Inch OLED TV. The main difference between the 2021 and the 2022 line up is going to be the introduction of the Bravia Cam as well as the Camera functions, also the new Voice remote control, this model has a built-in MIC switch and has Netflix calibrated mode. We recommend checking this link for the specifications and features: http://bit.ly/3XrYclo...
