good price
My partner bought this for our bedroom, the price was cheap and he thought it was a bargin but I now realise why it was cheap in price as the sound is dreadful, which he cant detect as he has impaired hearing. I would not want it as our main television in the sitting room.

Good, good, good
I have looked at this tv for almost a year before taking the plunge and purchasing it. How I wished I had done it sooner. The quality is superb. The picture is fantastic and the sound is great. I am still feeling my way around it but with so many features I am taking slow and carefully.

A handbook would be useful.
The picture and sound quality are excellent. Only gripe is that there are no detailed instructions on how to actually use and operate all of the "smart" features. It would be fine for the younger generation brought up with an ipad in their pram, but it seems that the older generation is just meant to muddle through. The latter comment is not unique to Sony.

TV is faulty
Problems with the picture. Flickering down the left side and sometimes across the middle. It is being replaced with another one.

Exceeds expectations
I have had this TV for a week now and it has exceeded my already high expectations. It is clearly expensive, and unquestionably an indulgence, but it has transformed my TV and DVD viewing. The OLED screen breathes new life into black and white movies. For modern content the colours and detail are exceptional. The surprise has been just how very good the sound is. I can't really see why anybody would need a soundbar or additional speakers. The way in which the XR processor creates new detail from low resolution DVDs is remarkable. The 42 inch size for me is perfect, quite large enough. I'm not interested in gaming so I can't comment on that aspect. If you can afford to treat yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Much improved over KD48A9 (2020 model)
I bought this TV TWO WEEKS AGO, replacing a 49 inch KD48A9 (2020 version). The picture, sound and system responsiveness are much better than I expected. Having Acoustic Centre Sync now with the Theatre Bar is much better- more detail, clarity and realism .

Beautiful quality vibrant colours
Purchased this new years eve. Had retailer supply and set up for me. Had few teething problems - lip sync etc but sorted out. I've always purchased Sony TVs over last 30 old years and this product is far superior to anything I every watched before. My last bravia lasted 12 years but this oled model is breathtaking in its colours range the clarity is wow. The sound is pleasant - don't have anything extra etc sufficient for my needs. Sleek and calming to look at.
