Rubbish
I’ve had this Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum with the Auto-Empty System for about 10 months. It was great at the beginning, but for a product that’s not even a year old, it’s extremely disappointing. The self-emptying flap has to be closed manually, and the small flap in the pipe doesn’t close properly, so when you turn the vacuum off, debris falls back down the pipe and onto the floor. On top of that, the battery life is very poor and only lasts long enough to clean about two rooms.

Best for a fully carpeted home

Really poor for the money
Really poor for the money - terrible at stairs, very noisy, battery life is ridiculously short and while better at sucking than my old Dyson it's not great! Should have bought another Dyson.

Disappointed
I have this vacuum for about 6 months now. First month great but very disappointed now. The self empty was an amazing feature but the white small doors where the all dust comes off isn't closing properly after being emptied which means now each time vacuum is loosing suction when vacuuming so we need to keep watch it and make sure we manually close. Qe hard flooring and the vacuum does not pick all the mess and dust from the floor. And when I use the small attachment, to clean stairs as also laminated flooring it drains the battery to minimum between minutes. I wasted my money on this unfortunately. I am a big lover of Ninja and thought will try to use Shark but this was disappointing as vacuum isn't worth the money and not for a long run.

The brushroll will not switch on on its own while the vacuum is in the upright position. The brushroll will only activate when you place your foot on the nozzle to disengage the lock.

This unit provides three flexible charging options. It can be charged by positioning the unit on the dock, inserting the charger into the port situated below the handle of the handheld vacuum, or directly charging the battery once it has been removed from the handheld.
Using a bag inside the Auto-Empty base is not advisable, as it could interfere with the proper extraction of dust and debris from the Handvac dust cup into the sealed base of the Auto-Empty dock following every clean.
It is important to note that this model is equipped with a power cord, which means it does not come with removable batteries.
The cord to charge the base of this vacuum is 1.2 meters and can be plugged into any UK standard socket.
