Excellent sound and battery life
Excellent sound and reception. Additionally, the battery life is really impressive. I wouldn't be without this pocket radio. Highly recommend.

Robert's Experts are not with it!!
Good quality sound and value for money, but 2 criticisms: 1. the ear pieces are too big for my ear and will not stay in. A choice of ear pieces required. 2. the radio when in use has a light constantly on, so batteries being used up too quickly. The light needs a switch to save the batteries. I'm surprised Robert's experience over the years did not think these two points needed attention!

Poor design
I bought this some time ago and wish I hadn't. It seems made for right-handed people. Selecting channels with the wheel is unreliable, inconsistent and the wheel is very sensitive eg channels cannot be found in the same sequence, and the wheel can easily be moved by the inside of a pocket when moving. Also it takes 5 or 6 seconds to tune into a channel. Using the wheel right-handed is not easy and a left-handed person may need both hands. The aerial lead obstructs selecting one of the pre-set buttons; and for its size and complexity the radio stores only 5 dab and 5 FM stations. It is badly let down by the wheel, which just seems to be the result of determination to be different from other portable radios that use buttons and which operate simply and reliably. I bought one on-line for half the price that is as good as the Roberts, and it came with a wrist cord that the Roberts doesn't. I wish I had returned the Roberts for a refund.

Yes! I use rechargeable aaX2 batteries and they last for over 11 hours at time. Sooooo much better tha ''normal" batteries that I used to buy and MUCH cheaper and convenient.
