could be better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this model for about 3 years and this will be the 3rd time it has had to go in for repair. although the quality of picture is superb its reliability is sketchy. The tv is properly cared for no children or pets can get to it. even the remote control had to be replaced. So without a tv again.

Impractical handset
Never ever have I had such a confusing hand set remote control, just impractical, unhelpful with button writing in very very pale instructions. This is a disgrace for LG and spoils the impressive picture. Even considered returning the set.

An outstanding TV from every angle
Purchased as a replacement TV . Exceptionally clear picture and sound from this TV. Plenty of additional apps on this which all seem to open instantly via the internet. A great picture and sound not only on the sky dish ( freesat ) , on the loft arieal and also via the internet. Argos had in stock at my local store, and the whole experience of purchasing, collecting and setting up was achieved inside a few hours. Excellent service from Argos and in my view an excellent product as well.

Be very careful with this television
I've had this TV for 6 months, it's situated near a window where the morning sun can reach part of the screen when low enough in autumn/winter. The TV runs a pixel refresh function automatically after every 4 hours of use. I believe this ran when part of the screen was being hit by the sun because after turning the TV on again later in the day there was a shaded area on the screen where I believe the sun had been shining on it. After another few pixel refresh functions this faded but is still visible weeks later on certain content especially grey and green, which is frustrating for sports. This television is too vulnerable to be worth the hassle in my view. Make sure it avoids any direct sunlight!

Tv picture and sound is great. Things i dont like... when you turn the TV on, it doesn't start on a channel but the home page. Also you cant just check whats on the channel you are on... you have to go to the guide. Shame... everything else is good.

Overall really pleased, sound options good as my Dad who is hard of hearing, now hear the TV better than before. The picture options are good also. My only niggle is I have to use 2 remotes instead of 1, so not so great.

You do not have to use a sound bar for the LG 48 Inch OLED48C36LA Smart 4K UHD HDR OLED Freeview TV, unless you wish to have surround sound from a three dimensional angle.

No this stand won't allow a swivel action. You would need to purchase a VESA desktop mount with swivel capabilities.

At the time of writing, this is only available on some Bush and Hisense TVs.
