Does work with Sky Q dishes (wideband lnb).
Regardless what anyone else says, it does work with Sky Q (wideband) LNB’s, but not straight out of the box. It needs an update before it will work for that. Basically when you get it, just give it power and nothing else, then connect it to the internet. Then once it’s connected to the internet, press the standby button on your remote to put the box into standby. It will take a few seconds then the box light will turn red. Then that’s it for now. Just leave it like that and it’ll update itself. I left mine around 4 hours but it could be more or less. Best thing to do is leave it overnight. Then once it’s updated, it’ll recognise your wideband LNB when you connect your cables and it will let you do a channel scan. After mine started working, I didn’t think the picture was all that great; but it must have done another update when I went to sleep that night, because when I woke up the picture was beautiful. As good as any picture I’ve ever seen on Sky or whatever. I’m so pleased with it. It’s designed to be as simple as possible, with no buttons. As long as you connect it to the internet and give it time on standby to update, you’re golden. You can’t manually update it or press any buttons, the software is designed to do it all for you. It’s pretty cool, but you’ve got to be patient with it until it sorts itself out.

Great Product
Bought this a few weeks back and wish I'd bought it a lot sooner. After years of seeing the Sky bill go up and up for what felt no good reason and only really watching the main UK channels, I cancelled Sky and bought this. Very easy to install and uses the same dish no issue.

Find a way to check you have a TV signal coming in
I connected it up as per the on-screen instructions only to be informed that there was no signal to the box. That was £99 down the pan

Hello Aussie,
For The Freesat 4K TV Box basic use, one cable is enough.
If your dish has a Standard LNB with 2 cables, that gives you more recording options, but the box will still work with a single cable for watching TV.
Thank you for using Q&A.
