Handy for the warmer weather. Good airflow.
ACs were out of stock and I had a gift card so got this fan free. Paid an electrician to fit it. He was not having a good time with it. Same as other reviews- there wasn’t much space for all the wiring. He did manage to get it done though and we’re really enjoying it so far (a couple weeks). It’s got different speed settings (they are good) and lamp controlled via remote. It’s quieter than our old desk fan and the airflow is good (we don’t have very tall ceilings though so I think that helps). Not sure what kind of magic other people in reviews were expecting- it’s a £100 ceiling fan, not an expensive AC unit.

Good Fans...Not easy to install
Fan/s work well when installed but not an easy installation as wiring is very tight. I had to relocate all wires in the ceiling rose into a junction box in the loft as there is no way they would all fit inside the unit. Also bear in mind the weight of these fans, I had to reinforce the joists as my original wiring was not central to the joist. I also thing the mounting bracket is too narrow and I put cross braces under the bracket to spread the load. Fans are quiet on low speed and timer options are handy, good downdraught and, if the fans are turned off via the remote and the light left on, if you then turn the unit off at the light switch it will come on as normal when you switch it on at the light switch again..This is a handy feature during the times you are not using the fan. Only just installed so can't comment on reliability but all good so far.

Not great!! Lacks power, doesn’t circulate the air
The power/ airflow on this is minimal for the price paid, I’m certain I could have brought one from Temu that circulates air better. Can barely feel any kind of air coming from it even on the highest setting. Returned the item. Not worth the money.

Just had it fitted today, gutted that the bulbs I bought ( same as a friend) don’t fit, not going to be bright enough sadly, will shop around. Good airflow and looks stunning , can’t wait to go to bed 😂

A bit fiddly to fit but excellent for the price
Great fan - keeps a good-size lounge lovely and cool even in this heatwave. Installation is the key thing to factor in - it took my husband (who is a very competent DIYer) about 2hrs+ to install with a spare pair of hands for passing and holding tools and parts. Due to the weight, the bracket does need to be drilled into a joist so be sure to check that before you order. Also be aware that you cannot get spare glass light covers or blades so do handle with care. However, once it was installed, it has been marvellous and looks very smart too!

Great product, a pain to install
An excellent product, very good quality. A little tedious to put together and install... It was not easy to fit all the wiring and the remote control receiver within the space provided. But after a few hours of cursing at it, it was a god send to sleep under the fan. The fan is surprisingly quiet considering the size of the unit. No worse that sleeping with a white noise machine. Build quality is sturdy and impressive. There was one missing screw.

Sleeping cool though a heatwave!
delivered last Saturday, hubby put it straight up in our bedroom, It is fab, 100% recommend! it does look quite big is my only criticism and we have 8ft high ceilings. It's kept us cool every night since, handy remote with 3 settings and not noisy! my daughter now wants one in her room!

It depends on how the fan is wired during installation - if the electrician connects it directly to the mains power supply only, the fan can be operated using the remote control without using the wall switch. However, if it is wired through the wall switch as well, the switch must be left ON for the remote control to operate the fan and light properly.

The supplier has advised for the Home Manhattan Ceiling Fan - Satin Nickel: This ceiling fan is fitted with a reverse control switch located on the motor housing. Sliding the switch to the "R" position activates the winter setting, causing the fan to rotate in the reverse direction.
