About this product
This track set brings racing into your child's world from age 3 onwards. The figure-of-eight layout assembles easily without frustration. Two rally cars zip around in red and yellow, matching colour-coded chevrons on the circuit. Adjustable hand controllers let little drivers control their speed as confidence grows. It runs on mains power with a UK transformer included. No batteries needed. The simplified design makes it perfect for first-time racers learning the thrill of slot car competition.
The cars feature easy change pick-ups for quick maintenance when needed. The track stretches to 256cm once assembled, giving plenty of racing room. Cars are built to 164 scale for small hands to manage comfortably. Colour-coded controllers help siblings or friends know which car is theirs instantly. Adult supervision supports safe setup and play. The mains operation means uninterrupted racing without battery changes. This set introduces racing skills while building hand-eye coordination through active play.

My 1st Scalextric Car Track (Mains Powered)
Great little track & good price Bought for 4.5 year old Nephew from Xmas & he loved it... I'm a 1.32 scale Scalextric fan & collector & I thought that this Micro 1:64 scale set was excellent, the cars are very nice, crazy fast, but hold the track extremely well, made 3/4 different layouts from it, has speed limiter controllers & seems to be the only small set which is mains powered...

I purchased this for my 4 year old grandson who surprisingly was adept at controlling the handset for the cars which was somewhat surprising but he was able to control the cars so well that he was soon beating me. I can remember having scalextrix when I was a child but never so young but the concept still holds to this day still fun even for this iPad generation. The one frustration which I have noted in the other comments is the bridge supports are extremely poor design which is surprising for an esteemed manufacturer as Scalextric unbelievable they need a wider base and better clipping mechanism apart from this is a good toy which the modern generation can enjoy as much as I did and still do!
