About this product
A great introduction to the world of Scalextric featuring an easy-to-assemble figure-of-eight track. This set is the ideal starting point for younger drivers aged 3+. The two rally cars and adjustable power hand-controllers are colour coded in red and yellow to match chevrons on the circuit. This set is now mains operated. This set will be supplied with a UK transformer.
Track Length: 256cm.
Scale: 1:64.
Special Features : Easy Change Pick-Ups, , Magnatraction & Super-Resistant.

Please note this product is mains powered, not battery-powered - the mains transformer runs off 9V.

I purchased this for my 4 year old grandson who surprisingly was adept at controlling the handset for the cars which was somewhat surprising but he was able to control the cars so well that he was soon beating me. I can remember having scalextrix when I was a child but never so young but the concept still holds to this day still fun even for this iPad generation. The one frustration which I have noted in the other comments is the bridge supports are extremely poor design which is surprising for an esteemed manufacturer as Scalextric unbelievable they need a wider base and better clipping mechanism apart from this is a good toy which the modern generation can enjoy as much as I did and still do!

Great Gift
We gave this as gift to our 3 year old for their birthday and it is a big hit! He has played with it lots and is able to use the controls with no help. Our 5 year old loves it to and they can play together. I would suggest adult supervision in setting up the track and packing away as the metal parts are somewhat delicate.
