Metal garden rake
Looks like a good metal rake, hope it lasts as long as my last one from Argos, 30 years! Slightly flatter design of the metal prongs oppose to the old one that were rounded, but look good. Not yet used but will be doing very soon with living in a woodland!

A nostalgia trip
It was attractively priced, and available such that I could rake up the grass on my daughter's lawn that very afternoon. What's not to like? The nostalgia trip? I used to read 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' to my daughter many years ago and always felt such sympathy for the much-maligned Mr. McGregor. All that said, it's a lawn rake that does the dull job of gathering up the grass cuttings pretty efficiently and at minimum pain

Yes it is possible to use a rake such as this to clear thatch, however, it would depend on how bad the thatch layer was as, if it's too deep and too interwoven, you may end up damaging the lawn by doing so.

You would need to check with the manufacturer of your artificial grass but I don't believe rakes with steel or metal tines are suitable, so no this rake would not be ok to use on your grass.
